The Dementia Rating Scale?2 (DRS-2) measures cognitive functioning in adults with cognitive impairment between the ages of 56 to 105. The test assesses a patient?s overall level of cognitive functioning, and can be used to track changes in cognitive status over time. The DRS-2 is useful in the assessment and progression of dementia of Alzheimer’s type, vascular dementia, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and age-related dementia in mental retardation and Down’s syndrome. The test takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes to administer. It yields an overall level of cognitive functioning and five subscale scores, which provide additional information on specific abilities, such as: Attention, Initiation/Perseveration, Construction, Conceptualization, and Memory. The DRS-2 Introductory Kit includes: 1 DRS-2 Professional Manual, 50 Scoring Booklets, 50 Profile Forms, and 1 Set of Stimulus Cards.
