The Rivermead Behavioural Memory Test-Third Edition (RBMT-3) is an internationally renowned, highly sensitive, ecological test of gross memory impairment between the ages of 16 to 96. It is designed to predict everyday memory problems in people with acquired, non-progressive brain injury. The RBMT-3 can detect and monitor changes in the patient’s condition over time as a result of a therapeutic intervention or alternatively, a deterioration in his condition. The test is easy to administer, and most patients enjoy completing it. In the new version, the clinical usefulness of the evaluation was expanded: the normative sample was expanded, case studies were added, as well as a new sub-test assessing the ability to learn new skills – an important ability for daily functioning.
